When this is done, the website has the credit card information. Look for secure login symbols to make sure that the website you are visiting can be trusted.
Some websites will have you order something online but email you that they do not accept credit cards and ask you to mail cash to them. The cash can not be returned. The best anti virus program that is free seems to be AVG. AVG is a free anti virus program that does a great job at keeping itself up to date and keeping your computer protected from viruses.
It is recommended by several PC review websites including CNet. It is said to be one of the most downloaded free antivirus programs on www.download.com.

Passwords are the fundamental key to security. They vary in length and complexity. It is good to keep them complex and long but memorable. Choose passwords that mean something to you. Also add numbers with the letters.

There are some computer programs that change and improve for the worse. Today it seems as if a lot of computer programs are getting to media centered and loosing their focus on what their main purpose was to begin with. I recently had to do some hunting for an older program that I liked. It turns out there are plenty of websites devoted to hosting old computer applications.

One of the problems that people have most of the time with Vista is with an incorrect setting. Microsoft was trying to make Vista more secure and user friendly. Unfortunately they made it more difficult to understand. I am an old XP user dealing with Vista and I know your pain. One of the settings that can be over seen or not seen at all is the public and private setting. This should be set to private.
The network you connect to wirelessly should be set to private in order to be able to setup a media center.
This is the pitfall to setting up the PS3 or Xbox 360 with vista. This setting alone keeps many people from configuring windows media server for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

There is a misconception on how to get rid of an obvious computer cold. Many times, we are only treating the symptom and not the source. I hope to help people understand how adware, spyware, and viruses generally work.
When we notice that our computer is displaying popups when we are not even in a browser that is a sure sign of adware but is it the whole picture of what is going on? The truth is, there could also be spyware and maybe even a virus present on your system.
Some people will notice only the surface of the iceberg when naturally there could be more to the adware. To understand this, I use a tree to demonstrate this idea.
