There is a way to easily and quickly navagate through Windows Vista using the Start Search box. With DOS or Linux people use commands to quickly go places and open programs. Start Search allows you to find files and open programs just by typing them in. If you have any lost files or programs that are still on your computer, start search allows you to find them.

How do I increase my computers boot speed?

To increase the speed at which a computer starts up involves a few odd things. One of which is deleting unused fonts. Go to the directory C:\Windows\fonts or type into Vista's Start Search "fonts".

A folder will open up that contains all of the fonts that you computer has on it. Select all of the fonts that you will not be using any time soon and back them up into another folder. Now delete those font files that are in the fonts folder that are not being used. The computer will boot faster because it does not need to load as many fonts in memory during startup.

One of the reasons that people should upgrade to a new computer is that a better processor, or video card is needed. If you have a computer that has less that 1ghz processor you may want to upgrade. However, the biggest problem that people have is the lack of computer memory or RAM. Many people will buy computers with a small ammount of RAM.

In this day in age you need at least 1gb of RAM to live in today's world.
